Our family together finally

We only hoped Mason would "like" his sister and not be to jealous. So far he has been a wonderful big brother. He tells us all the time "I love my baby sister so much" He asks to hold her about once a day and checks on her often. Things couldn't be going any better at our house minus the lack of sleep:)

Mason is in love

Mason met us at the hospital to take us home. He was sooo excited to see his baby sister. I am sure the 15 minutes he had to wait outside the hospital felt like forever to him. He bought her this pink bear a few months ago to give her. He was in love at first sight, we just hope it last!

Mason checking out his baby sister next to him.

Hospital Pics

We were so glad we didn't have to stay in the hospital as long this time. We wanted to get home and be with Mason since he wasn't allowed in the hospital. Some pics during our stay and right before we left to come home.

Our Early "Christmas Eve" Celebration

For the past several years we have had both families over our house for Christmas Eve. This has turned into such a fun celebration; however, with the new baby due Dec 15th we moved the party up to Dec 12. I didn't take to many pics, I think I was to tired from cleaning:) We had a wonderful time and enjoyed spending time with everyone.

We play dirty Santa every year and what fun we have. The liquor is always first to go. This year we had 3 bottles of crown royal and we still had some people upset they didn't get one.

Everyone brings their favorites, this is the table as we were waiting for everyone to fill it with goodies.

DRUM ROLL.......................

Drum roll please...................................... We have decided on a name for baby girl, with only 2 weeks left! So below are the letter of her name that I made the other night til 1:30 in the morning. Shhh... I had the letters in my car for over a week, I was just waiting on Jason to give the final okay:) sorry some are sideways not sure why that keeps happening.

Foam Gingerbread House

I said after the Foam Halloween House I would wait til Mason was older to do something like that again. But when Michael's put the Christmas ones on sale for 3.99 I just couldn't resist. Mason had such a good time helping and was so proud of it, we had to do it again! So here it is, I had to help a little more on this one but he loved it, especially the little gingerbread man:)

More Rag Dolls

A few new additions to the rag doll collection. What a great Christmas gift these would be if only I new some little girls... I am pretty sure they won't be to much of a hit with the boys:) I just love the one with the orange hair:)

Thankgiving Day

Growing up every year for as long as I can remember, on Thanksgiving morning my brothers and I would wake up to watch the Macy's Day Parade and have ham and cheese biscuits. When Jason and I moved in together we started doing the same thing (yes I go to my mom's on Thanksgiving Eve and pick up a plate of ham for this:) This is Mason when we woke him up (Anyone who truly knows my child knows why he looks like this at 9am) He liked watching the floats and balloons of the characters he knew, but he really liked seeing Santa at the end. It was always a fun tradition to carry on with Jason but it is soooo much better with Mason now:)

Jason's moms house right before we sat down to eat lunch, then off to my mom's to have dinner what a busy busy day:)

Thanksgiving Deserts

I usually do a lot of baking around the holidays, however this year I don't think I will have the chance with baby #2 coming. So Mason and I made some quick and easy deserts for Thanksgiving. He loves to help me with what ever I am doing and what a great job he did unwrapping 50 plus rolo's:) He had completely lost interest by the time I got to the pecan tarts which my great grandmother use to make during christmas.

This is such a great recipe for little ones to help with. Place a layer of pretzels on the pan, ontop of each one put an unwrapped Rolo. Pop them in the oven on 325 just long enough for the Rolo to start to melt. Take them out of the oven (they will be hot so I let Mason pick me out the "whole" pecans from the bag) Press the pecan down in the center of the Rolo. I usually sprinkle with confectionary sugar for looks but I was out...oppps. Quick, Easy, and Yummy!! Thanks Jaime for this one:)

Thanksgiving Art Work

Right Before Thanksgiving Leah and my mom came over to make a couple of craft projects with us. For Halloween we gave each grandparent a set of ghost feet so I felt I needed to find a project with a hand print this time. Below you will see the hand/arm fall tree. The dots are his finger prints, how cute...found this somewhere on the Internet. Mason enjoyed putting his entire arm and all of his fingers in the paint! For project number 2 well that's another story!
Okay so the turkey magnet was a little more difficult than I thought it would be for someone almost 3! The glue just didn't dry fast enough so I pretty much did this one:)
